Basement Waterproofing Before & After Photos

Lucille W.’s finished basement in her Mattoon, IL home was being damaged by water every time it rained. Her tile flooring was destroyed, her walls were damaged and clean up took hours so she called Woods Basement systems. Woods recommended a basement waterproofing system.

WaterGuard was installed as part of the waterproofing system. WaterGuard is a drainage system that is installed under the concrete floors along the perimeter of the basement, as seen in the pictures. It has a wall flange that collects water from the foundation walls and holes to catch the water coming in at the wall joints. It sits on top of the concrete footing of the home so it won’t become clogged with mud as it drains the unwanted water away to the sump pump for removal.

This Mattoon, Illinois basement was ravaged with leaks during extended periods of rain.
