A basement was leaking water in Chesterfield, MO, and it was starting to cause some damage. To fix this issue, the WaterGuard system was installed. These drainage pipes intercept water at the perimeter of the basement and drain it toward the TripleSafe Sump Pump System, which will drain water from WaterGuard and below the basement and discharge it out of the house. This system also includes an UltraSump battery backup system, which turns on if the power goes out and effectively pumps out the water. This basement will remain dry and clean for years to come!
There was a gap between the pipes and the wall in this home in Chesterfield, MO. that allowed water to leak inside.
To fix this leak, Dave P. installed a WellDuct™ system. This system is an extension of the WaterGuard™ waterproofing system that is usually used to drain water from beneath a window well. It was adapted here to collect the water pooling up near the crack and drain it into the WaterGuard™ system before it could leak through the gap.
Once the WellDuct™ was in place, the gap could be resealed to prevent outside air from getting in. With the WellDuct™ extension installed, water wouldn't leak through gaps in the wall, but would instead enter the duct and be drained into the sump pump.
Now the wall beneath this pipe is dry and safe from outside leaks thanks to the WellDuct™ system.
This home in Chesterfield, MO. experienced leaks around the windows in the basement. Water would build up in the window well outside and apply pressure to the window before leaking into the gaps around the window frame.
Foreman Dwayne M. from Woods Basement Systems knew just how to fix this problem. The first step was to install a WaterGuard™ drainage system along the wall. This system would catch the water that leaks from the windows as well as any water that might rise from below the floor and carry it all to the sump pump to be expelled from the home.
For a more direct fix, Dwayne then installed a WellDuct™ drain beneath each window. The WellDuct™ works by drilling a small hole through the wall into the bottom of the window well. The whole is covered with a filter so only water can pass through. On the inside, a covered channel is mounted to the wall to direct the water gathered by the outside drain into the WaterGuard™ system in the floor. This way water is collected from the window well before it can rise high enough to leak through the gaps around the window frame and is sent to the sump pump without having the chance to leak into the basement.
The windows in this Chesterfield home won't leaky anymore thanks to the WellDucts™ that Dwayne M. installed.
