Basement Waterproofing Before & After Photos

Water was leaking down the walls of a basement in Ballwin, MO, and pooling onto the floor. To solve this issue, the WaterGuard System was installed. These drainage pipes intercept water at the perimeter of the basement and drain it toward the sump pump system. This system has a design that will drain any wall seepage without allowing dirt and debris from the floor to enter and clog the pipes. next, the TripleSafe Sump Pump System was installed. This system assures protection from common problems with an ordinary pump. It can handle a heavy flow of water, thanks to a secondary pump included inside that will help eliminate the water if the first pump is unable to keep up with the amount of water that is entering it. It also features a removable airtight lid, which reduces noise, prevents objects from falling in, and keeps moisture, insects, and odor from coming out of the sump. Thanks to these systems, this basement will remain dry and restore peace of mind for years to come!

Our customer in Ballwin, Missouri, Chris wanted to make sure his exterior sump pump discharge line would not collapse or clog. We installed our water proofing system and new sump pump that comes with a sealed lid that's so much better than the original black-liner from the big box stores. On the exterior we added our IceGUARD™ to ensure if the buried discharge line collapses or freezes, water once pumped from the sump pump will be expelled to the exterior of the home, ensuring the basement stays dry.

As part of the of the waterproofing system, WaterGuard was installed under the concrete floors of the basement along the walls to collect any encroaching water and drain it to the sump pump. BrightWall wall panels were installed to cover the leaking basement walls to direct the water to the WaterGuard and give the basement a brighter appearance. A SaniDry dehumidifier was installed to keep the relative humidity in the basement low to prevent mold growth and eliminate musty smells.

This Ballwin, Missouri home had water leaking in at the base of its walls. Woods Basement Systems installed WaterGuard to prevent water from building up around the outside of the walls of this basement. Water buildup can create hydrostatic pressure which leads to problems other than water leakage. WaterGuard is unique in that it sits on the footing of a home's foundation rather than in the dirt which prevents the WaterGuard from becomming clogged with dirt or mud. Design specialist Brandon B. assessed the situation and decided the best option was to install a CleanSpace wall system and a WaterGuard drainage system. Foreman Melvin F. then traveled to the home to get the job started. The WaterGuard drainage system, pictured above, is placed above the footing of the basement. It collects and drains any water coming up from the ground before it reaches the surface of the basement.
