There was some initial confusion regarding the contract relative to the sump pump chosen and the location of the pump. The company made it right regarding putting in the top end pump system at no additional cost. The rationale for changing the location of the pump was professionally explained to help us accept the change. Juan Hernandez and his crew (Daniel and Brad) did an excellent job. When Jeffrey V. of Charleston, IL noticed an expanding horizontal crack in his basement wall, he contacted Woods Basement Systems. Specialist Greg B. determined the crack was due to hydrostatic pressure and PowerBraces were the best solution. Foreman Brad P. and crew installed the PowerBraces and the wall was permanently stabilized.
Champaign, Illinois resident Susan E. was troubled by water leaking into her basement causing mold and odors. System design specialist Kevin E. designed a solution to keep the basement dry and free of mold.
As part of the waterproofing solution, foreman Bradly P. installed CleanSpace. CleanSpace is an inorganic vapor barrier, so it does not support mold growth. It has brightened her basement while keeping it dry.
The before photo shows the problem area that would flood in times of heavey rain, causing water to enter the garage and even part of the home. Geo-Lock Wall Anchors were installed along the cracked walls. They counteract the external soil pressure and permanently stabilize walls in place. They can straighten the walls over time, in most cases, by tightening the anchors during dry periods.
Chad and Amy C. of Neoga, IL had cracks in their foundation walls that would leak, staining the walls and damaging the wood framing that was along the walls so they called Woods Basement Systems. Along with a wall support system to address the cracks in the walls, Woods recommended installing CleanSpace.
Over the cracked walls, Woods installed CleanSpace. CleanSpace is a thick, durable plastic vapor barrier. It prevents moisture and humidity from entering the basement through the foundation walls and instead directs it down to the drainage system Woods also installed. It also gives the walls a cleaner and brighter appearance.

The PowerBraces consist of steel I-beams that are fastened to the joists above the wall. It is an adjustable system that can be tightened to help stabilize and straighten walls.

The Geo-Lock Wall Anchors were installed along the crack walls. Earth anchors are embedded into the yard and connected to wall plates on the inside of the walls by steel anchor rods. They permanently stabilize walls and restore value to the home.

This Mount Olive, IL basement was installed with a TripleSafe Sump Pump. TripleSafe will use its first two pumps as a means to pump more water from the basement, or if the first pump breaks. If there is a power outage, the third, battery backup pump will kick on to continue to protect the basement from water damage.

PowerBraces were installed along the bowing, cracking walls. The steel beams are fitted against the walls and held firmly in placed by steel brackets attached to the floor joists and cement floors of the basement. There were hidden leaks behind the walls in the finished basement of Al P.’s East Alton, IL home even though he had a waterproofing system from a different company. The leaks from the foundation walls were in an area the waterproofing system was not extended to had damaged the wooden walls and frames as well as the carpeted floors. so he called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended extending the waterproofing system to the rest of the basement.
Woods extended the system by installing the WaterGuard drainage system under the cement floors along the perimeter of the rest of the basement. WaterGuard is situated on top of the concrete footing of the home, away from any silt and debris that might clog. It uses its special wall flanges and channel holes to collect water from the foundation walls and floors and drain it to the existing sump for removal.

Alton, Illinois homeowner Tyler had a concrete and brick porch that the concrete was falling out of. He gave Woods Basement Systems a call about some foundation problems he was also having and found out they could help with this too. Team Woods developed a plan for him.
Foreman Brad and his crew injected PolyLevel under the concrete slab of the porch. This raised the slab back up so it was level with the surrounding brick.

Woods installed the Geo-Lock Wall Anchors along the cracked foundation walls. Geo-Lock Wall Anchors counteract the external pressure from unstable soil conditions that cause damage like Donna was seeing in her home. To do this, galvanized steel anchor rods are driven through the walls and connected to earth anchors that have been embedded in stable soil conditions in the yard. The rods are attached to wall plates on the inside of the wall, which can be seen in the picture, and tightened. They permanently stabilize the walls in place and prevent any further damage.
Daniel S. and Jeanette G. of Waterloo, IL had a leak in their basement, so they contacted Woods Basement Systems for an inspection.
Specialist Christoph H. evaluated the home and determined the best solution would be to install a waterproofing system. As part of the system, foreman Brad P. installed the twin pack sump pump, which is equipped with a primary and secondary pump.
This product along with the interior perimeter WaterGuard drainage system and the IceGuard, which provides an outlet for water should the discharge line clog or freeze, will keep Daniel and Jeanette's basement protected from future water leaks.

Woods removed the wooden-framed windows and installed the EverLast Windows. EverLast Windows are built with reinforced vinyl frame that won’t rust or rot and they’re maintenance-free so they won’ require sanding or repainting. They are also made of double-paned, insulated glass to prevent major heat loss through the windows.
In the before photo you can see the window well of this Affton, MO home just after removing the cover, which you can see is sitting off to the side in the bottom left corner. Obviously this well and cover were not up to the task of keeping water and debris out of the well, which means water was able to leak into the basement. These homeowners called Woods Basement Systems to upgrade their window well and get it waterproofed once and for all. In the after photo you can see our SunHouse window well which has a water tight cover that will keep moisture and debris out of the basement permanently!
External soil conditions can exert pressure on foundation walls and cause damage like bowing, tilting and cracking. Dan F. of St. Louis, MO had a wall that was bowing and a long crack had formed along the area where the bowing was the worst so he called Woods Basement Systems. Woods inspected the foundation wall and recommended Geo-Lock Wall Anchors.
Geo-Lock Wall Anchors were installed along the bowing, cracking foundation wall. Geo-Lock Wall Anchors counteract the external pressure by connecting earth anchors embedded in stable soil in the yard to steel wall plates on the inside of the wall using galvanized steel anchor rods. The rods are tightened and the walls are permanently stabilized in place. They can even straighten the walls over time in most cases.
