Before Installation
This St. Elmo, Illinois homeowner wanted to waterproof his basement to replace his old, outdated products. Currently, the home had a sump pump, but this sump pump would overflow because it wasn't able to handle the amount of water that leaked inside.
Old & Outdated
Here is the old, outdated sump pump. Since this sump pump wasn't big enough to pump out the water leaks that entered inside, Team Woods would soon replace the sump pump with a TripleSafe pump.
Updated
Look at the size difference of the sump pumps! The new sump pump is called a TripleSafe sump pump. This pump claims its name because it is a three sump pump system that will keep any basement safe and dry year around.
Installing TripleSafe
Head foreman, Juan H., worked with his team to first install the TripleSafe sump pump. As you can see, this sump pump was put straight to work. To finish the sump pump's installation, a cover would soon be placed over the pump to seal the pump from possible clogging.
Making Room for WaterGuards
To begin the installation the WaterGuard drains, the team dug up trenches in the floor to install the drainage system.
Placing the Drains
Next, the drains were placed into the trenches.
Drains Installed
After all of the drains had been installed, Team Woods would then pour a cement layer over the drains to seal the system. These drains are installed in the flooring to prevent the system from clogging.
WaterGuards Sealed
Here are the WaterGuard drains sealed with cement. Once the cement dries, the floor will look like it had before.
IceGuards Outside
To finish off this waterproofing project, IceGuards were installed onto the discharge lines to prevent the lines from clogging or freezing. IceGuards ensure that the lines will be running at all times, no matter the weather!
