Wildwood, MO homeowner Tanya F. had an old sump pump, which caused her to worry about the water damage she may encounter should it fail. She contacted Woods Basement Systems to learn about other options.

Design specialist Mike T. evaluated the home and determined that a TripleSafe sump pump equipped with a primary, secondary, and battery back up pump, would be the best solution. He also suggested replacing the discharge line and moving it to a new location.

Foreman Jose L. and his crew replaced the old pump with the new sump pump, installed the battery back up and discharge line, and included the IceGuard on the exterior of the home. This will prevent water from backing up in the basement should the exterior discharge line clog or freeze.

Tanya is now confident in the sump pump system in her basement.

Concrete slabs of a driveway were sinking in Wildwood, MO, causing large gaps to form and become uneven. To solve this issue, the PolyLevel System was installed. This will stabilize, lift, and level the concrete slabs with high-strength polyurethane foam. Pea-sized holes were drilled into the concrete and the foam was injected to fill the void underneath. This installation technique allows the foam to expand as it cures, precisely lifting the slab back up. NexusPro Joint Sealant was also used to seal the joints and cracks in the concrete. This will provide long-lasting flexibility and will stand up to harsh weather conditions. These systems will improve the safety of the driveway and restore peace of mind for years to come!

Fast and Effective Concrete Lifting and Leveling

The major flaw of concrete is that the ground that it was poured on top of will inevitably shift and sink over time. In the states of Illinois and Missouri sinking concrete is all too common which is why our company has gone to great lengths to develop fast and effective concrete lifting and leveling solutions. PolyLevel is a revolutionary product that is minimally invasive and not only lifts and levels concrete but also stabilizes it.

How PolyLevel works:

  1. The concrete lifting and leveling process begins with a few small holes drilled in the slab.
  2. Then the PolyLevel polymer is injected into the holes and expands to provide an accurate lift.
  3. After only about 15 minutes the polymer is dry and the concrete is ready to be walked and even driven on.

This concrete lifting and leveling technique is faster, less disruptive, and arguably more effective than mud jacking, which is the standard that PolyLevel replaces. We even offer SealantPro concrete sealing, which extends slabs' lifespans by 3 to 5 times overall in just one quick application. This concrete sealing system is resistant to moisture, oil, UV rays, abrasions, and more.

To remove tripping hazards, stabilize concrete, and lift it back to a level height nothing is faster or more effective than PolyLevel concrete leveling. After, our concrete sealing system will preserve your slabs for a lifetime. To schedule a FREE concrete lifting and leveling or concrete sealing estimate, contact us today!

We can Fix:
  • Sunken sidewalks
  • Sagging steps
  • Uneven patios
  • Sinking driveways

Job Stories From Wildwood, MO
Repairing an Unstable and Leaking Basement Wall in Grover, MO

A basement wall was shifting and becoming unstable in a Grover, MO basement, and water was leaking. To solve these issues, the PowerBrace System was first installed. This system is designed to stabilize a home’s foundation permanently. It will support the basement walls and straighten them over time. Next, the BrightWall Paneling System was installed. This bright, clean, and durable wall system will prevent water vapor from permeating the basement walls and drain any wall leaks to the WaterGuard System. These drainage pipes intercept water at the perimeter of the basement and drain it toward the sump pump system. This system has a design that will drain any wall seepage without allowing dirt and debris from the floor to enter and clog the pipes. Thanks to these systems, this basement will remain stable and dry for years to come!

Bob M. and Cheryl B. from Glencoe, MO decided to call Woods Basement Systems for a free estimate when they realized that the concrete around their home was settling unevenly, which can happen as the result of several causes. Sinking Settlement in Glencoe, MO

Glencoe resident, Pam, was referred by a friend to Woods Basement Systems when she mentioned her homes foundation seemed to be sinking.  She had minor cracks in various places on the exterior foundation as well as the interior drywall. She scheduled a free consultation with Woods representative, Randy Rantano, on February 6, 2012.

After a thorough assessment, Randy discussed with Pam her many options.  Pam decided on the Push Pier Assembly to stabilize her home in the current position. She scheduled a crew to come the following month.

On March 19th, foreman Miguel Ortiz & his crew arrived at Pam’s to start the project.  They installed the galvanized piers deep underneath the foundation, on sturdy bedrock, using hydraulic machinery. Now, the weight of her home is resting on these stabilized piers, rather than the settling soil.  The crew completed the job in just two days.

Today, Pam has the option to keep her home at its stable position, or lifting it higher.  The Push Pier assembly has not only made her homes foundation safer, but has increased the homes overall value.

Basement Drainage System in Glencoe, MO

When Norman entered his basement after a rainstorm, he noticed some water seepage where the floor and the wall meet.  His friend referred him to the local basement experts, Woods Basement Systems.

Representative, Keith Roberts, recommended an interior drainage system that does not clog.  As a certified dealer for the Basement Systems Network based in Seymour, CT, Keith informed him on the innovative WaterGuard drainage channel. Norman appealed to this method because it was less expansive than an exterior drainage system and it was made of material that is guaranteed not to corrode or decay.

On June 4, 2012, Melvin Foster & his crew completed the installation.  Norman now has a leak free basement and more room for his living space.

Outdated Foundation Repair in Glencoe, MO

Francis & LaVerne, residents of Glencoe, MO, were unsure exactly how old their house was.  When the large horizontal crack on their foundation wall began to leak water, they decided to call in professionals because they were afraid their house was becoming unsafe.  Suggested by a neighbor, they called Woods Basement Systems and set up a free consultation with representative, Randy Pantano.

After a thorough assessment, Randy noticed the couples walls were beginning to bow.  After informing that this often happens due to too much pressure from the foundation soils, he suggested The Foundation Supportworks Geo-Lock Wall Anchor System, which avoids the cost of total foundation replacement.  This long-term system would help straighten then walls back to their original position overtime.  He then recommended the WaterGuard drainage channel to prevent the water from the crack from entering his basement.  The couple was relieved to know that there was a permanent solution to their problem.  They scheduled the project date for the following month.

Foreman Marshall Crawford and his associates started the project on August 19, 2013. The anchors were inserted in the soil outside the foundation.  There, they apply pressure to the foundation walls by the connection of a steel rod.  This procedure helps form them back to their original position.  They then installed an interior drainage channel called the WaterGuard system. The WaterGuard channels any access water that comes through the crack and channels it to the sump pump. By August 23rd, the job was complete.

Not only is Francis & LaVerne’s foundation safer, but their basement is now dry and they increased the value of their home.  They can now use their basement space without fear of their possessions getting water damage.

Foundation Crack Repair in Grover, MO

Andrew is a resident of Grover, MO.  When he noticed water seeping into his garage from a large foundation crack, he decided to call in professionals.  Remembering their commercial on TV, he called Woods Basement Systems.  He scheduled an appointment with Wood’s representative, Randy Pantano for a free estimate.

Randy informed Andrew that his foundation was thankfully still very stable.  He then suggested the FlexiSpan Wall Crack Repair System.  Andrew liked that Randy was so knowledgeable about the basement waterproofing industry.  He scheduled an appointment for the following week.

On May 13, 2011, William Harvie, and his crew, installed the three-step Flexi-Span process.  First, a flexible sealant was applied within the entire length of the crack, then a special porous foam over the top, and lastly a water-resistant membrane that works with the basement’s perimeter drainage system.

Today, Andrew’s basement is leak free due to this permanent leak repair process.  He is thankful for Randy’s honesty as well as Wood’s Basement Systems and their access to the industry leading products of Basement Systems.

When Grover, MO resident, Jeff D. realized his sump pump was not working correctly, he did not hesitate to call in professionals.  After coming across Woods Basement Systems in his research, he scheduled an appointment for a free estimate.  Brian Cox arrived at Brian’s home on February 7, 2013.

After Brian’s systematic diagnoses, he told Jeff that his sump pump could not keep up with the freezing temperatures due to the discharge line freezing.  In one of the coldest months of the year, Jeff was not sure that there was a way to prevent this problem.  Then, Brian informed the homeowner on the innovative IceGuard Sump Pump Discharge Line System.  This system includes a certified sump pump by the nationwide Basement Systems Network as well as the Basement Systems IceGuard anti-freeze device.  Jeff was enthused that Woods Basement Systems had access to these advanced products & information.  He scheduled the installation for the following week.

On February 19th, Mr. Robinson and his crew completed the entire project in one day. Brian now has a new sump pump that collaborates with the anti-freeze device. His basement will no longer flood when the discharge lines freeze in brutal temperatures.

Dry & Insulated Basement in Grover, MO

Natosha of Grover, MO had noticed some watering seeping into her basement.  After a few months of this occurring and some personal items damaged, she decided to get some professional advice.  Researching online, she came across Woods Basement Systems & saw that they provided free estimates.  Wood’s representative, Norman Gansz scheduled a meeting with Natosha to diagnose her problem.

After a thorough assessment, Norman suggested that Natosha install an excess drainage system in the area where the water was seeping in.  After Natosha explained she had hopes to finish her basement in the future, he advised her on the ThermalDry Wall System which works hand in hand with the WaterGuard drainage system.  The homeowner was impressed with Norman’s knowledge in the basement waterproofing field & decided Woods Basement Systems was the one for the job.

On April 11, 2013, Melvin Foster & his crew arrived at Natosha’s residence.  They installed the WaterGuard system, which acts as an interior French drain.  Then, they covered the walls with a poly-sheet material, known as the ThermalDry Wall.  This product will not only direct access water seepage to the drainage system, but will also provide insulation.  The entire job was completed the same day, and Natosha was astonished.

Today, she is enjoying her dry basement.  She can now finish her basement with confidence that there will be no water damage.
